year-and-a-half

where does the time go? 18 months really? just a short time ago i was holding you, rocking you, feeding you. today you are your own little person, with your own will, your own curiosities, your own little know-hows, your own language, your own ways. in just 18 short months you have turned into a toddler.

at 18 months i am surprised everyday with the little things you do, making me realize that you truly are a sponge and that daddy and i are truly your examples. at 18 months i love that you....

are a GREAT sleeper, you go down so peacefully for naps and bedtime

love your blankie with silk edges

are such a cuddle bug

knock on doors

help me in the kitchen closing the refrigerator and all the cabinets

help me with laundry pulling all the clothes out of the basket for me

smile big when i ask if you want to go for a ride

bring me your shoes when you want to go outside

play so contently in the bath

give kissies

recognize songs on the radio

eat yogurt all by yourself and make a huge mess

smile big showing all your teeth

life is full, life is love!!!

Wild Animal Park...

Today was fun. Aidan and I went to the Wild Animal Park with my sister and nephew Dillon. It was a quick trip - 3 hours - but we strolled through most of the park and took a few great pictures. Here's Aidan all smiles as the lion comes right up to the glass right in front of us:

Another great moment was when I found out one of my dearest friends gave birth this morning. With her nursery decorated in elephants I thought this moment was fitting:

who am i kidding?

so my last post was all about catching up on my blog and of course i still haven't. so my new goal is to just start blogging again - period -

4 months really?!?!?

My 2010 resolution is to spend my free time wisely. Of course I want to relax when Aidan is sleeping but when does that leave me the time to update this blog, or send out the hand written cards to friends and family ... just because, to be creative, to give more of myself, and to read all the books I want to read!! So... since it is almost the end of January, I am starting, starting by trying to catch up on 4 months of time.

For 4 months, memories have been floating around in my mind and won't go away until I catch up on this blog.
